 | The Land of Sound is a neighbor country of the Land of Fire where the Sound Village is Hidden. It is a relatively new country in the political scene, though the country itself existed long before Orochimaru took it over and renamed it, its former name being Land of Rice Fields. The feudal lord is named Ryoshu, and he was persuaded by Orochimaru to let him establish the Sound Village in the country. It conspired with the Land of Wind to launch a surprise attack and hopefully destroy the Land of Fire. Instead of using elemental jutsu, Sound ninja use sonic-based jutsu, often augmented by various devices.
